Week 1: Ground School with Industry Experts & Real-Time Peer Feedback

The first seven days are dedicated to immersive ground training led by a Master CFI and supported by rotating guest speakers. Each session blends foundational knowledge with real-world application—and sharpens your teaching and communication skills through constant interaction and critique from both instructors and peers.

Past guest speakers have included:

  • Engineers from Lycoming & Continental, diving deep into engine design, common failure modes, and powerplant troubleshooting.

  • Flight Test Engineers from Airbus, sharing aerodynamic data and design tradeoffs straight from the flight test envelope.

  • Chief Pilots and Check Airmen from Part 135 & 121 carriers, offering direct insight into hiring trends, airline expectations, and pilot development.

Classes are capped at six students, creating a tight-knit and collaborative learning environment. You’ll receive real-time feedback from your peers, gain built-in study partners, and have daily opportunities to practice teaching and presenting in front of others. With over 40 hours of guided ground instruction, you’ll not only learn the material—you’ll learn how to communicate it like a professional.

Week 2: Flight Training & Checkride Prep

Following ground school, we shift our focus to flying. Over five days, students will polish their right-seat maneuvers, gaining the skills necessary to confidently teach others.

  • 10 hours of flight time with an instructor included
  • Comprehensive checkride prep
  • Spin Endorsement in the Super Decathlon
  • Checkride booked on the final day of training and included in the cost of the course

Our goal is to ensure every student leaves ready to teach, with the confidence and knowledge to pass the CFI checkride with ease.
